Welcome to the first of many “outfit of the day” blog posts! My goal is to serve outfit inspiration and style advice as well as introduce you to new fashion trends with these weekly posts. Continue scrolling to see what I chose to dress myself in today!
Today’s casual outfit features a spring color scheme and one of my favorite shades of green. When I spotted this sage green crewneck sweatshirt, it was love at first sight. A lot of times when I’m online shopping, I’ll find myself hesitant to click the “add to cart” button, but no one was going to talk me out of buying this cozy crewneck. One can never have too many sweatshirts, right?
Gen Z’ers have determined that skinny jeans are so not fetch. Straight-leg jeans are considered what’s cool now, and I’m not mad about it. I’m newly obsessed with H&M’s denim. This pair specifically struck a chord in my heart as soon as I slipped into them. They’re perfectly oversized without swallowing me and hug my hips just right. For the price, I was pleasantly surprised at how thick and high-quality the denim felt.
I love these jeans so much, I have two more pairs in different colors in my H&M cart as we speak. And no, I don’t feel guilty about it.
Who would’ve thought to mix a casual crewneck with a sleek white button-up underneath? I didn’t understand the trend at first, but after trying it out, I’m officially on-board with it. Everyone needs a classic white button-up in their wardrobe. It’s a staple piece that will never ever go out of style, and it’s become one of my favorite pieces to layer underneath crewnecks, sweaters, and vests.
Style tip: If you don’t have a white button-up in your closet, check your boyfriend’s or dad’s—they’re bound to have one.
These gold hoop earrings embedded with pastel gemstones tie in perfectly with this look. The hoops incorporate the same colors as the jeans and sweatshirt, making them the obvious right choice when deciding on accessories.
To top off the look, I threw on my rather dirty, white, platform sneakers from ASOS. These shoes have seen it all, as you can see by the scuffs and dirt. But if I’m being honest, white sneakers just look better when they’re a little dirty. Who else agrees?
These jeans were begging to be paired with a heel or platform shoe, so I delivered. A flat shoe would simply have these jeans dragging, and we can’t have that.

I can’t wait to continue this “series” and give you a glimpse inside my closet and keep you up to date on what trends I’m currently loving. Let me know in the comments what you thought of this outfit of the day—because I thought I killed it.
